If you are a real estate agent trying to find ways to get traffic to your site, here are a some of the things we've used, or are using, to generate traffic to REindex.com, The Site Enginesm. Fifth suggestion: Get your MLS to stop allowing your listings to be displayed by any site except the listing broker or agent. Some MLSs take pride in the fact that they give your listing information away. Some areas of the country don't even have an MLS (Like Manhattan or Montana), so this may not apply everywhere. Other areas of the country already prohibit displaying listings of other companies. These restrictions are intended to help consumers determine who is and who isn't an actual real estate agent versus a referral system. If your MLS still gives your listings to other web sites, you have to decide if that hurts or helps your business effort. One thought, if having your listing(s) all over the internet is acceptable, do you also allow competing agents in your area to advertise your listings in a newspaper or a magazine?
